Handcrafted in Taloyoak, Nunavut

This Walrus Packing Doll was made by Inuk artist  Rosie Takolik, in Taloyoak, Nunavut.   Made In Canada Gifts curates every piece of Inuit art with care and appreciation of both the piece and the artist. Traditionally, Packing Dolls were made by young girls as a way to introduce them to the art of stitching, which was essential for the survival of their people. While these dolls are not made or used by girls, they carry with them the tradition and culture of the people of Taloyoak, Nunavut.

Each piece comes with documentation certifying authenticity.
