It is important to be clear of mind and heart when preparing to smudge. Smudging is used for protection, cleansing, and honour. Sweetgrass is used to purify thoughts and environment. Due to being a natural, wildly grown herb, sweetgrass braid lengths will vary from approximately 10" to 18".
