We can personalize ANY art piece with direct laser engraving, an engraved plate, or a trophy base. To order your personalized metal art, simply add the piece to your shopping cart and then add "Engraving & Personalization" and select the type of personalization you would like from the drop down menu. Please include the wording to be engraved in the "Special Instructions" area of your shopping cart. You will receive a confirmation email including the information that is to be engraved on the piece. Please note that direct laser engraving is not recommended for all silver pieces. We strongly recommend a laser engraved silver plate for better visibility.

This magnificent piece was designed by accomplished First Nations artist Noel Brown and fabricated from steel by BC artist Jack Willoughby. Noel is a member of the Snuneymuxw First Nation on the east coast of Vancouver Island. He began carving professionally in 1995 and received inspiration from James Lewis, a prominent Northwest Coast artist. He has also worked and learned from other talented individuals such as Richard Baker, Matthew Baker and Darin Lewis. Noel is renowned for his Coast Salish Art and clean designs. His art can be found in galleries and private collections around the world. His carvings are on public display at the Nanaimo BC Museum, as well as at the BC Ferries Departure Bay terminal, cruise ship terminal, and other public areas.
The Bear is a well-respected animal for the Coast Salish peoples, and in art the animal often refers to the elders who are the protectors of a community. It is believed that the bear taught ancestors how to fish for salmon and harvest berries, and therefore are a symbol of giving strength to families.
